Lightfield has developed a full line of less lethal ammunition that has many applications for the law enforcement and security industries.The new Lightfield line includes patent pending designs with velocity and kinetic energies calibrated for range specific applications. This product line is intended to provide non-lethal knockdown power as a measure to control individual in a variety of threatening situations. Some of these rounds are also perfect for home defense. They will render an intruder immobile without killing them.
Lightfield has calibrated its Less Lethal line into the following basic classes: Close range 8-25 yards, Mid-range 15-40 yards and Extended range 30+ yard.
Agency Wildlife Control

The aversive conditioning of large, heavy muscled animals is a growing trend with specific range demands. The new Lightfield line includes patent pending designs with velocity and kinetic energies calibrated for range specific applications. The new line is intended exclusively for wildlife control and provides effective and affordable solutions for close, mid-range and extended range targets.
Lightfield believes ammunition that is safe and effective at close range on humans may be underpowered for large animals at greater ranges. Likewise, loads that are effective at extended ranges may be too powerful for humans at close range. In response to that situation, Lightfield has calibrated its wildlife control line into the following basic classes: Close range 8-25 yards, Mid-range 15-40 yards and Extended range 30+ yard.
Less Lethal Products
Starlite
The StarLite is a close-range less lethal impact projectile intended for direct fire at targets between 1 and 10 yards. The user should only target large muscle groups and soft tissue from the abdomen and below. Always avoid targeting the head, neck, thorax, spine, kidney area and groin as serious injury or death may occur.
The patented design of the ‘Star’ projectile intentionally embodies properties that virtually eliminate the undesirable tendencies of the typical drag stabilized, sock style bean-bag. The Star design utilizes less weight and higher velocity than other single projectile loads. The Star’s larger overall diameter and flexible composition compliments its other properties to allow for a safer deposition of Kinetic Energy. The overall design of the Star greatly reduces the likelihood of penetration, broken bones or deep internal injury.
HV Star
The HV Star is a Close to Mid-Range less lethal impact projectile intended for direct fire at targets between 5 and 25 yards. Those who may be reluctant to shoot at another person even in their own defense can now control their personal space with greater confidence. This load also provides a greater margin of safety to innocent persons nearby or in adjoining rooms.
SuperStar
The SuperStar is a close-range less lethal impact projectile intended for direct fire at targets between 2 and 15 yards. The user should only target large muscle groups and soft tissue from the abdomen and below. Always avoid targeting the head, neck, thorax, spine, kidney area and groin as serious injury or death may occur.

Intermediate Range Rubber Slug
The Mid-range Rubber Slug is a less lethal impact projectile intended for direct fire at targets between 20 and 40 yards. Rifle sights are recommended for maximum accuracy. The user should only target large muscle groups and soft tissue from the abdomen and below. Always avoid targeting the head, neck, thorax, spine, kidney area and groin as serious injury or death may occur.
The patented design of the Lightfield rubber slug is unique to the industry. The other extended range projectiles on the market tend toward the generic fin-stabilized or rubber rocket design. The unique hollow base design of the Lightfield rubber slug allows increased surface area contact within the barrel. This keeps the projectile properly oriented on exit from the muzzle. Air flow wrapping around the back of the open based design creates enhanced aerodynamic stability superior to that of the fin stabilized design.

Midrange Double Ball
The Double Ball is a Mid-range Less Lethal impact munition using two (2) .73 cal. balls. It is intended for low-angle direct or indirect fire at targets between 12 and 30 yards. The user should only target large muscle groups and soft tissue from the abdomen and below. Always avoid targeting the head, neck, thorax, spine, kidney area and groin as serious injury or death may occur.
High Velocity Rubber Buckshot
The H.V. Rubber Buckshot load is a close to mid-range less lethal impact projectile. It holds 24 .32 cal. balls for direct or indirect fire at targets between 8 and 25 yards. Point of Aim should be kept deliberately low at greater yardage to avoid upper body impacts when the shot pattern enlarges as distance increases. The user should only target large muscle groups and soft tissue from the abdomen and below. Always avoid targeting the head, neck, thorax, spine, kidney area and groin as serious injury or death may occur.

Nova Distraction Round
The NOVA- DR is intended as an indirect fire diversionary load. It should never be fired directly as persons or pets. Muzzle blast is similar to a hand thrown NFDD and can cause injury or death.
Padlock Breaching Round
These breaching rounds are a “must-have” for every law enforcement agency’s arsenal. When timing is critical, this round provides the means for breaching an entry quickly and effectively.
37mm & 40mm Reusable Aluminum Adapters
Lightfield is now offering high quality machined aluminum adapters that allow the use of less expensive 12 ga. Less Lethal ammo for training purposes in the 37/40mm platforms. Agency Wildlife Control Products
Rubber Buckshot
This is the ‘traditional’ aversive conditioning round, improved to carry a larger payload. There are 21 .32 caliber PVC balls moving at 700 fps. This load is designed for close to intermediate encounters with large game such as Bear, Moose, Elk or Deer. The 21 pellets spread into a large pattern to impart a painful stimuli over a large area with little risk of injury.
Double Ball
This load is an improvement on traditional rubber buckshot. This load has two .73 cal. projectiles rather than many smaller ones. At the same 700 fps, two larger balls carry kinetic energy farther than small ones and are more effective at greater distances. The bore sized projectiles also enhance accuracy at greater distance. The 2 balls divide the total K.E. across two impact points, creating a strong pain stimulus without penetration.
Midrange Rubber Slug
A patented design available only through Lightfield. The black 130 gr. slug @ 550 fps will accurately target problem wildlife for safe and effective aversive conditioning. This load has been used thou-sands of times against bears and other large animals across the US and Canada. This load is accurate and effective out to 40 yards. Note: The Extended Range Rubber Slug should only be used in Cylinder or Improved Cylinder-choked rifle barrels only.
Extended Range Rubber Slug
The same patented design as our mid-range slug, colored Blue for user identification and at 650 fps. This load is intended to deposit higher levels of kinetic energy at longer distance than any other load available. This load permits aversive conditioning at distances well beyond the norm, and provides enough K.E. to move large animals at greater distance. Note: The Extended Range Rubber Slug should only be used in Cylinder or Improved Cylinder-choked rifle barrels only.
